About Us

Nearly eleven years ago we started on a journey that has taken us many places. We started out with just a few dates and a mission to go wherever God opens a door. A desire to serve Him in music was placed in each of our hearts. We have sang in churches where every pew was filled, and there has been other times when only a handful of people gathered in. The awesome thing is no matter how big or small the crowd may be, God can show up when we earnestly lift him up! This journey has strengthened our family in so many ways. It has impacted every one of us in some form or another. Sure there are bumps in the road that shake us to the very core, but we must press on believing God will make us stronger each time! He has been so faithful to us in our ministry! Our hopes are still the same as it was back then. We long to reach out to every person we can and share the good news of Jesus. Salvation is the greatest gift ever offered to man! We hope you hear that message in our music. Thank you so much for praying and supporting The Giles Family!

Dale Giles- Father and leader of the Giles Family. He has been playing music since he was 5 years old. He sings lead and plays the acoustic, lead, and bass guitar. He has been a minister of the Gospel for many years. His love for God and his family is evident in every aspect of his life. We are proud to call him Dad!

Barbara Giles- 'Mom' and 'Nana' to the majority of the group, she fills a role no one else can. She started singing and playing the piano at a young age. Her love for  gospel music was passed down to her children. She shared many songs to her family and planted seeds of faith in each one.  

 
Joshua Giles- Youngest child of Dale and Barbara. Sings lead and backup vocals. Josh began his singing career at the early age of 6 years old. You could hear him singing his heart out in every room of the house! He performed in the Assemblies of God National Fine Arts in 2009 and was awarded 1st place in the South Alabama Region. He went on to achieve 2nd place in the State of Alabama . As a young man he has dedicated his life to humbly serve God and minister to others in song.
Kimberly Giles - The middle child of Dale and Barbara. Sings lead and backup vocals. She also started singing at a very young age. During her high school years she played the trumpet with CHS marching band. She mastered harmonizing as a young teenager and still has a strong ear for music. She has the ability to hear a new song and learn the lead or harmony in just moments. She has made it her priority to follow God’s direction for her life.

Audrie- the second of the Giles grandchildren and has a beautiful voice.
 
Allison- the fourth of the Giles granchildren and isn't singing just yet.... :)
Rachel Forehand- Oldest child of Dale and Barbara. Sings lead and backup vocals. She is also the pianist and songwriter for The Giles Family. She started playing the piano and singing at a very young age. Her first song was written when she was 11 years old. God has blessed her with nearly 100 gospel songs! Her desire has always been to reach out to others with the message in the lyrics. She is thankful for the anointed God-given songs that have not only touched her life, but many others as well.

Drake Forehand-   ‘Rachel’s honeypie.’ Sings lead and backup vocals. He also plays the mandolin and operates the sound system. He became a part of our family in 2001. After a lot of persuading, he started singing and later on playing the mandolin. It’s amazing to see how far God has brought him. After starting out quiet and reserved, God has given him the courage to express his heart on stage.

Alayna - the oldest of the Giles grandchildren and sings beautifully! She is also learning to play the violin.
 
Carlee- the third of the Giles grandchildren, who also has a wonderful singing voice.
Blake York- Although we claim him as our own, he is actually a dear friend and wonderful bass guitar player. He met our family a few years ago and accepted our invitation to join The Giles family. He picked up the songs with little effort and became a huge asset to our family. He has diligently followed God’s lead and has always portrayed a Christ-like attitude. We are thankful that he came along for the ride!
Brett Forune-  He is our drummer and newest member of The Giles Family. Two things that best describe Brett are dependable and humble. At such a young age he spends his weekends serving God with his talent. He is one young man that doesn't complain about pulling his load! We are so glad to have him a part of our family!
